The Jewish Museum, NYC
In Archeology Zone, children are invited to discover the world of archaeology through a study of art and artifacts from the museum’s vast collection. The exhibit allows young visitors to analyze objects “after the dig”. Assuming the role of the archaeologist, children embark on an exciting adventure where they encounter unusual objects and determine how and why they were made. Interactives are geared for toddlers through pre-teens, and the exhibit is used by public school groups to fulfill New York City’s curricular objectives.
