Central Synagogue Chapel

We were responsible for creating a torah ark with room for storage and audio-visual elements for a new chapel created in a former classroom space. The luminous ark doors were inspired by Rabbi Angela Buchdahl’s vision of the Shechinah, the in-dwelling of God in our midst, present whenever a community prayers or learns or celebrates together. Flexible, movable liturgical furnishings were an integral part of the project.
